Dumbledore love

Three times today I've had to reach down and adjust my socks. Each time I do, I think about Dumbledore seeing socks in the Mirror of Erised and it makes me happy. I need new socks. I need lots of new socks - black ones, brown ones, tan ones, and even a few white ones ::thinks of Jim Ellison fondly:: Heck, I'll even take some Dumbledore polka-

Shoes!

My magpie tendencies (which until fandom, I didn't even know I had) have turned me into a total shoe HOR (Ooh, suede - pretteh!). I have bought eight (yes, eight) pairs of shoes since ZCon alone (but I'm claiming points for having returned three of them - so maybe I don't need an intervention quite yet)

On-line shoe shopping, my pet, on-line shoe shopping - there is no joy like multiple packages showing up at one's office door. ::sigh::

(OK, so maybe an intervention might not hurt...) :p

I tried looking for my shoes online last night. When I read your comment, I thought, she's a genius - shop for shoes online and avoid the crowds. Only, I couldn't find what I wanted quickly enough, so I gave up and went to a store that I didn't think would be too crowded on my lunch hour today. I got four pairs of socks (one tan with small white polka dots) and two pair of shoes (one pair is for summer, but they were on sale and so cute!).

Thanks for the idea - I just got lucky that the store had the shoes I liked in my size - I figured if I found something I liked but not in my size, I could always come back to the office and order it.

I knew you and your people would have good ideas. ;-)
