Oh course, he didn't REALLY hynotise anyone.

It's kind of been proved that people only do that stuff on stage cause they've been 'hypnotised' and thus not responsible for their actions.

It's like peer pressure x1000. They feel daft, but EVERYONE in the audience wants them to do mad stuff. So they do. And when they come off stage, they don't want to admit that they just went along with it all...
