I work at Borders and once had a customer here in Australia who apparently regularly buys books to send to a prisoner in Texas. When I dealt with her, she had to have Borders send the book, because she personally wasn't allowed to do so, and it had to have our label and the ISBN of the book on the outside of the package, otherwise the prison would send it back. I thought it was interesting. If the prison opens the package and sees that it's just a book, what does it matter who it comes from or how it's labelled?

Don't know how different it is in Oregon compared to Indiana, but it actually is cheaper to go to school for the "rest of your life" than just for 2-4 years. College loans don't have to be paid off until you're finished with school and you can get finiancial aid. But this is all information based on enrolling into our community college, and again, I'm not sure what the difference is between states. I would think they'd give more to students on the West coast.
