The biggest thing that I notice about Lily is, in spite of the huge age difference, it that she could be a twin to my cat Pandora, right down to the light brownish undercoat (Urban Assault Cat!). Okay, Panny still has all of her limbs, but she's the one who has cancer. Not to worry, Pandora has lived a lot, rich and very full and happy life. And I wish the very same for Lily now. Bless you Lily, with another 13 years (or so) of good food, good friends, and a good life.

I love that about cats, looking at them and being reminded of the felines we love. Lily looks like our Marie, too. I wonder if Lily will be as much of a pouncer as Pandora! Marie is well known in our house for the "gifts" she brings us!

So, where did they take the leg off? Right at the shoulder?

I'm so happy to be a part (however small) of her recovery. <3

Yep, they took her leg right at the shoulder.

Thank you again for being part of this. As long as I've been in fandom, I've never experienced anything quite this...amazing!

Well, I have!

About a year and a half ago, I found a cat half frozen on the side of the highway, and his leg was so frostbitten that it wouldn't heal. ( not to mention his feet, ears and tail)

When I had an art sale on my own Lj, the response was overwhelming.

It turned out that he managed to keep his leg, and is now a happy, fat part of our family.
( I'm on an iPad right now and have no idea how to link, but if you go to my page and click on the milky wave tag, you'll see his story.)

Live journal is truly an amazing place. I'm so glad lily is doing well.

The surgery ended up happening literally overnight once she started running a fever. The faster to get better and be a happy kitten again!
