*sigh* I dunno if you ever put this one up here, but in Batman #1 the panel that (I feel) most succinctly represents the relationship between Batman and Joker is when Joker tries to crush Batman on a bridge with his car and then kicks Batman's head, trying to knock him off the bridge, while shouting "Why won't you just DIE!?"

That is a GREAT panel, and yeah really sets up the whole dynamic. I was actually musing on that one a few weeks ago just like, even then right then it was immediately defined.
