Paul Dini on Batman: Arkham Asylum

A great little interview with Big D on the upcoming video game that has us all frothing at the mouth. In it, he says some fabulous things about Mistah J:

That exchange with Batman and the Joker, that was just a lot of fun. I love writing those two characters, especially when they have something to say to each other. They don't necessarily have to ( Read more... )

Man, I hope this game is gonna be good. Comic-based games are kind of notorious for sucking, but the potential here is go great, man, I really hope they pull it off.

Did you post your thoughts of Harley's look here yet? I don't think you did, but maybe I missed them. Are you gonna reserve judgment until the game itself comes out?

Hey there! No I haven't... whilst I'm not rapt in the look, I love the overall way she seems to be coming across, esp with Dini's writing and Arleen's voicework. I'm sure the portrayal will be fabulash even if the design is pretty common.

Great definition of the joker. I have enjoyed reading your lj tonight - I am a huge comic fan, adored the animated series and Harley, and was really won over with TDK last year. Question (since all my browser pages don't load properly) - when you are referring to the Nolan universe, you mean Christopher Nolan - not the artist who I think is called Kevin Nolan, right?

Hehehe, yep, it's Chris Nolan I mean. Though the artist I'm familiar with is Graham Nolan.

I haven't gotten myself near my comics (and I tend to not google when it is so obvious) but I think the artist I was thinking of was Kevin Nowland; not sure if he did Batman beyond JLA (the funny revamped version of the comic).
I thought of this question to you as I snagged some SANDMAN issues cheap today
one of the artists (a woman I believe) did some great Batman stuff.

I am really enjoying the Harley love on here! I can remember fan reaction when she became so prominent on the animated series I cherish.
