Makeup Reviews for Epic Awesomeness

Dec 27, 2010 12:59

The blogs I read have been doing makeup reviews lately. They are great and all, but don’t really apply to me and mine for when it really counts-when you are drunk and sweating your ass off at the club, but still want to look good.

Onward! )

I gotta get some of these.

BTW this is the set I got for Christmas:

Other than the brushes, I'm thinking it's probably mostly useless to me. I wonder if it's returnable...I could use the $55 to buy some big brushes at Target instead and the primer above. It's not a bad set or anything, but...all neutral colors. Ha. Neutral colors. Yeah...not so much. Then again, it is a lot of good stuff for only $55...

More on topic, I will have to try that loose kohl eyeliner. I always try to use eyeliner on my lower waterline but it always runs off IMMEDIATELY because of, well, the water. The top stays fine, but the bottom is like impossible. If this is any better, I'll have to try it.

Also planning to try out your hairspray tip, and I definitely plan to get some of that primer. If you use this, do you still need the liquiset stuff?

I never use anything on my brows, though there is a large part of me that wants perfect 1940s brows more than anything else in the universe. One of these days I should have you do a full makeover on me just to see other options for how to do makeup. XD

I hardly ever use liquiset unless I want to do something really crazy. Primer potion goes on every time you use eyeshadow, and you can put your eyeshadow over it like you normally would apply eyeshadow. Liquiset turns your eyeshadow into water-resistant paint, and you'll have to use different methods to make it look nice since you can't blend it anymore. If you remember my makeup from the Halloween party at Leslie's, that was using the liquiset.

It probably is returnable. Most places are extra lenient about return policies during Christmas anyways. I got a couple of little sets like that before and managed to salvage some stuff from it, but they were much smaller than that. I would probably try and return it.
