I liked your reflection on each quarto, i chose not to just because i tend to get jumpy, and wanted to try and focus on one! But i admire your ability to do so! I agree with your love for Eliot now, while i can't say i absolutely like everything of his, i must admit i agree that this truly is a masterpiece!
Your explanation of the elements and places is good, i liked that about Eliot's Four Quartets, because it is so clever, and its not just an attempt at cleverness either, it is truly well done. The problem with some poetry and other works, is that people attempt to make masterpieces by perhaps ...trying to tie two themes into one work, and they fail miserably, but Eliot has done such an excellent job, i was definitely impressed. Its also got me thinking about the different elements and what they represent metaphorically and otherwise!
