You know before I came here it was always a joke that two blokes could just beat the snot out of each other and by the time they got it all out and were done they could be friends again. With all this talk of 'justice', I sort of miss that.

Not to make light of the Marquis' injuries. Just a little tired of fighting altogether lately, y'know?

Two guys locked in a room together should be able to work it out. Then one buys the other a drink.

I don't get this justice thing either, but maybe it's cause sometimes people are motivated by...I dunno animal impulses. I fell asleep during the "Dark at the heart of man" books in High School.

Sorry -- I don't think we've met before. My name's Rose Tyler. What's yours?

Right! Sorry. I have this tendency to introduce myself without actually introducing myself. [he grins] Kevin Flynn.

I'd shake your hand, except that these communicator things make that difficult.

Yeah, seems that the Barge doesn't like to keep things simple like that.

Wouldn't be the Barge if it did.

I'm Rose, by the way.

If the Marquis doesn't wish for any consequences, your colleagues have no right to go against that. To be honest, they wouldn't have anyway. The only one who has is the Admiral as your employer.

And I doubt it looks nice there, considering how the CES works. But if you insist; I wouldn't mind... going outside for a bit.

I don't think it's that he doesn't want consequences so much as he'd rather pick them. The Marquis doesn't seem to like being told what to do -- not really surprising considering he just stood there and got beaten because of it.

Is that so? Well as long as he doesn't ask for this Sexby to be prosecuted, that point still stands.

Anyway, when do you want to go?

I think I agree with you.

I'm ready anytime.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think anything we or the Marquis decide to punish him with will make him feel like he did anything wrong. So... take it or leave it. [He sounds exhausted.]

Everyone makes decisions like that at some point.
