If a story just fills one prompt, is that ok? And then we write five stories to make up a line (or four for a postage stamp)? Or does a story have to have five prompts in it so we can declare Bingo on the posting template?

I'm a little confused by your question. To write a bingo, you must have a story per prompt.

Once you have done a bingo, you can do a postage stamp, using 4 prompts in 1 single story.

You write your stories, post them to your journal and then once you have 5 stories for a line (for instance) you make a post you name BINGO in the community with links to the stories of your bingo. Is that clear? If not, I'll try again.

Yes. That is clear. Thank you for the clarification. The way the rule read to me, I thought I had to try to work five prompts into one story to get Bingo. *G*

Thank you for the card! I have a question: do all stories have to be written specially for love_bingo? Asking because one of the prompts on my card fits a story I posted three days ago - I know that this wouldn't have counted for kissbingo, but I don't think it's spelled out in the rules for love_bingo (unless I've missed something). I'm happy either way - just wanted to check.

Well, I suppose if the prompt is the same, it could be accepted, as long as you don't make the story fit a gazillion challenges and prompt tables! It's only 500 words. Two would be fine, but only two!

Good luck with your card :)

thank you very much - that's helpful to know!

edit to add: I probably should have said that the story I was asking about wasn't written for another challenge - it was a request by a friend.

I have a question :)

Fan art: 15 icons, 5 banners, vids 30', drawings half a page...

Does that mean that I am supposed to make 5 different banners for each prompt?

Yes, that was the idea. Is it realistic or just too much compared to the 500 words word count for a story? I know nothing about banner making, so, what do you think? Would 3 be better?

When I create an art, I create one art for one idea. It would be pointless for me to create five different arts for the same theme. It’s redundant. I already feel burned after making one. And forcing myself to make another four would be a torture, really. But it’s just how I see it. Maybe other artists like repeating the same idea in their work, but for me it would be like creating five stories for the same prompt ( ... )

Actually, this makes so much sense! I guess I was thinking in terms of numbers, and what could amount to the 500 words as fic limit. So you've convinced me. I'm going to change those requirements because my interest is to have people participate and create. Though, I'm a little confused. Is the icons requirement valid in your opinion? I think it's 10 for a prompt. That seems a lot. I need to reread my own rules!

Rules are always tricky; it's like LJ. I don't get why the lj photophile winner gets 2500 LJ tokens when the writer for the frank and meme contest, for example, just has 1000. It's harder to come up with words than take a good picture IMO. Total digression. Sorry.

Thanks for you input, and your art is lovely, by the way. It feels magical :)

Hi, just a quick question: During the amnesty, can I use any of 240 prompts you've made or only those prompts received on my bingo-cards? (I assume it's the first, but I want to be sure.)

The amnesty period exists to allow players who didn't complete enough pieces during the round to post them to the community.

Since you've posted during round 1, you don't have to post at all during amnesty; you've already filled your mandatory square thus making you eligible to participate in the next round.

So, to answer your question, you cannot use the love list during amnesty (sorry!). However, you can do bingos and extras for your own cards.

I might post cards during the amnesty period to allow members and non-members to participate, but that's about it.

Hello! Thinking about joining in for the next round. My question, though, is this: I looked at the list of prompts, and there was one that said "unrequited love". But can we have unrequited love be a significant role in another prompt?

Like, for instance, one prompt is "A crush". Could I focus on the crush, but also have it be a one-sided or unrequited thing? (Basically I'm looking for an excuse to incorporate angst.) XD

EDIT: Also, when you say vids need to be 30', do you mean they need to be a minimum of 30 seconds? Just double-checking.

Hi and thanks for your interest. :) Stay tuned, next round is about to arrive!

The prompts are here to inspire you. So if you want to incorporate a prompt you like in every square you fill, it's your call, as long as each square has a story attached, it's all good!

Yes, 30 seconds. :)

Thank you! I'm already thinking over some of those prompts. :D
