Hey, anytime. Willing to play him in any version =)dancnwithmyselfApril 29 2011, 16:28:50 UTC
[One thing Artie was good at was giving hugs. Hell, you could even say he liked them. He happily holds out his arms so Jan can glomp to her hearts delight.]
Which version we talking, I play him teen, college and mid-thirties... whichever you want!dancnwithmyselfMay 1 2011, 18:06:15 UTC
[Artie knows what it's like to miss something comforting, so he just held on tightly, rubbing her back to try and soothe her.] When were you last there?
Almost a year. Most of the time I don't mind it here, but sometimes...
(And I play her at all three ages and break a few laws of physics with her to get her in different realities. LOL Any version of Jan that you'd like to see?)
[Jan appreciated both the hug and that Artie actually seemed to understand that this was home but not quite when most people didn't.]
Sometimes it does, but it's so different here. Back in Seattle no one cared if I was a little weird. I was just one of the art geeks. No one cared if I drew odd pictures or listened to old music.
[She managed a wobbly little smile.] I was beginning to think it was me. I know that I'm not stuck here forever, but sometimes I think I should just pretend to be like everyone else so things'll be easier.
Lima always seems to attract the weirdos. Even when I was at school, the nerds were odd. Jocks and cheerleaders were fine. I know it's the same everywhere, but it just seems to be that bit worse here. [He reached into his pocket, pulling out a handkerchief and offering it to her.]
[With a quiet thank you, she took the handkerchief and dabbed at her eyes. She wouldn't cry anymore. At least not in front of Artie.] We're not weird. We just don't fit into the nice little roles that we're expected to.
