[Hmm... Guess countries aren't all-knowledgablee about what's in their domain. Though it could be that Kohaku was a river in a different country? She should ask that next time they meet.
Oh, but she feels a little awkward talking about this... Even she can see he's uncomfortable. But! It's for the sake of knowledge, so she can't feel too guilty.]
Civil wars? Now that you mention it... how do those work? Do you... punch yourself, or something?
... And how do you go... live with the country that beat you? Does he... eat you, or something? But then, you'd be dead... [Her brain. It's breaking.]
[Spain pauses a moment. This is getting to be a little too close to what he was dealing with at home before coming here.]
Um...No. If the civil war is bad enough, sometimes there can be two of the country. That's what America told me happened to him. T-they just...hurt. Really, really badly. They're the worst things to ever happen.
Oh...We just go live in their house. I never really had to, but Romano lived with me. And North Italy lived with Austria. Eat us? No, definitely not! Well...Maybe Russia might... Oh...But we wouldn't be dead. We can't die unless...Unless all of our people are gone.
[He looks a little pained at the very thought of so many of his people dying.]
Awwwww. ;=; Oh, Antonio.kyudoushaJuly 30 2009, 17:01:24 UTC
[Good information. But she feels like it's time to back off a little. If it goes any further, she wouldn't know how to respond. D:]
That... yeah, that sounds pretty bad.
You guys have houses? ... I don't know, you guys seem very... human to me. A house, and problems with neighbours... do you have jobs, or is being a country a full-out occupation? Not sure if I ever want to meet that Russia guy.
[Is totally not realizing that it's a fake smile.]
Stable job. Not bad. I realize that your government has to know your existence, then. Do all the citizens in your country know, or is it just a select few?
Hey, you're the one who told me that he's liable to... eat other countries. That's pretty bad.
Hmm... I suppose it does. I mean, just because we haven't met them, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It must be like an innate instinct, or something. But the potential... It's overwhelming. Maybe Estelle would know - she's a throne candidate. Maybe I just haven't met Terca Lumireis yet... There's just so much-
... Just because they're always smiling, doesn't mean they're necessarily nice. Still, though.
So, does the environment affect you? Say, if someone in your country digs a trench into a mountain, do you feel it?
But, uh, you can go on believing that he's a nice guy. I'm just talking to myself.
[She doesn't... want to burst his bubble, for some reason. He also reminds her of Estelle. Why are there all these innocent people here? D:]
Yeah, if you could feel people digging, I'd imagine it very uncomfortable.
... Hmm. Interesting. Say, has anyone tried to hook you up to a machine, or something, and monitored your health? Specifically environmental impact on your health?
[Oh, man. She's starting to see him less of a country and more of a test subject.]
ILU Spain, I really do. <3333333kyudoushaJuly 30 2009, 17:49:32 UTC
... Uh, yeah. That's... definitely... the worst part if it.
Can I try? Well, I guess the right people just haven't found you yet. Damn, and I really wanted to- but your country isn't exactly here right now, so I can't analyze the results.
It would have been so useful...
Can you synchronize yourself with this world the same way you feel your country?
... Why do the two of you talk about this 'Romano' like he's some kind of property?
Reply
[Oh... She didn't take that into account.]
... I guess war really would be a bummer. Never thought about it that way. We humans really do screw things up for countries, huh.
What's the direct relationship between you and your country?
Reply
[He sighs quietly.]
T-they aren't fun. And...civil wars are the worst.
Mmm...You mean my land? Well, when we gain land, I think we feel stronger, or something like that.
[Hasn't taken over much land in a very long time.]
And...If we're taken over, we haver to go live with the country that beat us...
[Yeah...These are not happy memories for Spain.]

Nope, no job, we're just us! Um...Usually I work with my boss, who's the leader of Spain. So I guess we work for the government, sort of?
I don't know him very well, but he seems a little scary. Oh, but I'm sure he's not that bad~!

Well, I doubt he actually eats other countries. And he's always smiling!
[Oh Spain. It's a creepy, creepy smile, but he hasn't noticed that little fact.]

[He doesn't understand those mumblings, so he just kind of blinks in confusion.]
Oh...I guess not.
[He laughs.]
Well, I wouldn't feel that, no! People dig and build all the time, after all.
But...things like hurricanes, or droughts...Yeah, I can feel those.

[Spain's bubble has got to be made out of reinforced metal, or something. Though he is far from innocent.]
Yep~ I wouldn't ever get to sleep!
[This is clearly a major crisis.]

...No?
[Pfffft. xD Spain is very baffled by this question.]

[Blink. Blink blink blink.]
Uh...I'm sorry?
[He's not entirely sure why he's apologizing.]
Er...No, I don't think so. I mean, it doesn't...I just...My home is me. So I don't really have to...do anything to be uh...
[What word did she use? Oh, right!]
Synchronized with it. But this place isn't...well, me.
