[The impulse was getting stronger, she could feel it. Needless to say, the sensation building up was making her hands twitch of their own accord, eager to grab at the next thing they came into contact with. Amelia did not want to subject anyone to such a thing, so was hastily making her way to somewhere isolated. Unfortunately, in her rush she didn't pay enough attention to where she was going, and promptly knocked into someone.]

Ah, I'm terribly sorry about that. [She knew she should have hurried off, but it would have been rude to not apologise for barging into him. This was a mistake, though it would take another moment for her to notice how her hands, now on his chest, were beginning to slowly move downwards.]

It's all right. It could have happened to...

[ The thought of "It could have happened to anyone." is a pleasant sentiment, but it only goes so far when the other person's hands start wandering his chest. The light armor he has under the coat might be enough to muffle the sensation, but the sight itself is enough to make his foot start looking for a way to step back. ]

Pardon me? [ He pauses awkwardly. ] What are you doing?

[She blinked in confusion, taking a moment to notice where he was looking, before it clicked. Her expression shifted suddenly to embarrassment and apprehension. Truly, this had to be the worst first impression one could give.]

Oh no, I'm so sorry about this, the hotel is...making me act up.

[Amelia moved to try and distance herself, but her hands were not having it. One gripped the material of Aether's coat, while the other continues to explore further, until it was eventually groping his thigh. Still struggling, she looked at him apologetically, face flushed and regretful. She could only hope the urge would wear off soon, and that he would believe she was sincere in her explanation.]

Hotel or not, you...

[ That line of inquiry seemed like a reasonable one up until he saw the look on her face. All of a sudden, that single step back was reduced from the most effective solution to nothing more than a most logical one. Even if he made it now, something else would push them in the same direction...

And, if he knew anything about this place, a second time wouldn't end with just her fingers helplessly clinging to his coat. ]

Hn... [ He merely sighs in frustration in the end, his gaze drifting away right as her hand reaches for his thigh. ] Forget it. Do whatever you want.

[The surprise on her features was no doubt obvious when he suddenly stopped struggling. She was unsure of what to make of him catering to the situation, or whether she should be grateful or more ashamed due to his choice. It didn't appear to be like there were any other options available though, so there was nothing for it.]

If there's anything I can do...now or later, to apologise, please let me know, okay?

[Once she had stopped trying to retreat, her hand let go of his coat, in order to join the other on his legs, fingers massaging through the trousers and tracing along his thighs, moving higher.]

Um...what's your name? [It might have been out of the blue to ask, but considering what was coming, it was only right to at least know who he was, surely.]

[ The touch felt more humiliating than pleasant. There was no argument over her needing it; the knight may not have known her name, but he's lived long enough to recognize worry and desperation when he saw it. Still, that didn't mean that his mind had no room to resist even as his body responded to her touch. ]

I'm nothing more than a traveling knight... [ His words came out with a tired sigh. One hand reached up to rest on Amelia's shoulder, inviting her to stop closer to the wall and let him lean back on it. ] I can give you a name, but it might not be the name you'll hear next time you see me.

[ He didn't give her offer a response. As long as she actually needed this, asking for something in returned seemed like a selfish thing to do. ]

[This was not the sort of behaviour she engaged in, even as far as the hotel was concerned. Amelia only hoped she could prove that once she had more control over her actions, though she was aware that the urge was dying down a little. If she was lucky, groping would be her worst offence.]

[Still, as she listened, she did become curious about his remarks. Even so she resisted asking him about it. It wasn't the right time or place to quiz him, and she didn't want to add prying to her list of things to say sorry for.]

Regardless, it only fair I call you something. You have an identity, even if it changes. I don't wish to let this meeting...be without any meaning.

[While she managed to move so he could rest against the wall, she kept her offer in the back of her mind. After this, she would reaffirm it. Considering her hands were currently massaging his thighs, an act she had forced on him, some apology was in order.]

[ An identity. A ridiculous and shallow dream. Although it was true that he had his own judgment to follow, it was a knight's purpose to accomplish things without being dragged down by the burdens of fame and recognition. He tasted those things once. He was content living without them again.

Still... if an identity was something that gave this encounter meaning, then it was only his duty to come up with one. ]

A meaning, huh... [ His eyes closed as the back of his head touched the wall, as if intending to block off some of the sensation. ] Let me think of one.

[ A part of him considered giving her something simple and easily discarded. By the time his eyes opened slightly, that part was deemed to be cruel. ]

Aether. That was the name given to me by the last person who wished for a little meaning.

[If only Amelia knew of those thoughts, as she would have had plenty to say on what every person was entitled to and deserved. She was idealistic, yes, and was called naive a lot of the time for those beliefs, but she held onto them. Just because things weren't good at that moment in time didn't mean they couldn't improve.]

[It was her hope there was a way to make up for this shaky first impression, and that she could befriend the knight, or at least show how bad she felt about forcing this on him. He was like any other person, he deserved that respect.]

Everyone has a right to that sense of meaning, of existence. I don't wish to just walk away and discard either this memory, or the person I'm with.

[Her gaze held strong for a bit longer until she ducked her head down, both fearful of the look that would come from thinking her words were silly, or what she could feel her hands were willing her to do next ( ... )
