[Gourry wants no part of this! The little flying people are trying to put flowers in his hair! He's a guy, guys don't wear flowers in their hair! Don't ask how they managed to get his armor off or steal away his sword. He's trying to shoo them away with a stick but in a show of force they gang up on him and send him flying until he lands right in front of Amelia.

When he's down, the fairies stick the flower pin into his long hair and flitter away giggling.]

[Amelia was brought out of her tranquil trance on seeing something, or someone land on the ground nearby, making her bolt up from her seat. Needless to say, the large head of blond hair was a pretty big giveaway to who it was.]

Mr Gourry! Are you alright? [Quickly moving over to him, she bent down, attempting to get the swordsman back on his feet. The difference in their statures didn't make it easy, the princess struggling to hoist him up. However, she did notice the flower pin, and the giggling fairies. It seemed like the poor guy was not having as good a time at the party as she was.] Oh...the fairies seem to have been having fun with you.

[His head hurt a lot but he didn't seem affected at all. Gourry suddenly sat up, legs crossed, and rubbed the back of his head. Those little guys sure packed a punch!]

Huh? Amelia? What are you doing here? [He looked over each of her shoulders, making sure no fairies were hiding behind her. Then he leaned over and whispered.] They tried to put something in my hair.

[Gourry always seemed to bounce back easily, which was probably for the best considering how often her took a beating from Lina.]

I was just enjoying the festivities...[She stopped as he looked around, as if weary of something. On hearing the whisper, she blinked innocently, before pointing at his head.] Oh, you mean that pin?

[It's amazing he doesn't suffer from chronic brain trauma. Or does he...]

Yeah, it looked like a fun party until these little guys showed up. [He blinked several times when she pointed, turning around to see nothing. His hand crept up, running along his hair until... oh, that pin. HOW DID THEY GET IT THERE?! Gourry tugged and tugged and tugged at it, but it just wouldn't come out of his hair.] It's stuck!

[A mystery that may never be answered. Anyway, there were more important things to worry about, like the fact that Gourry might just pull his hair out by the roots if he wasn't careful.]

Here, let me help you. [And she's leaning over, attempting to detangle the pin, but the swordsmand does have a lot of hair. It seems she would have have to press a bit closer to see what she was doing.]

[He was well on his way to doing just that, pulling and tugging, but with Amelia's offer of help he relaxed and sighed. At least Lina wasn't around to see it.]

Thanks Amelia. Um... [He leaned closer as she worked with his hair, oblivious for the moment to how close she was. Before he knew it his hand had begun to slide along her arm toward her elbow, but broke away to touch her hair instead.] Hey, you have one too.

[Amelia didn't take much heed to the close proximity either, too busy picking through long blond strands of hair. They had really stuck the pin in deeper than she thought. She didn't even mind when she felt his hands wander, not bothering to question it for the moment, even if her skin did shiver a little in response to the touches.]

Oh, I hadn't noticed, but I don't mind having one Mr Gourry, so don't worry.

It looks better on you anyway.

[Gourry thought to himself, Amelia's hair is nice and soft. Why hadn't he ever noticed it before? It wasn't like he went around touching girls' hair. He kind of liked it, and slowly his fingers spread apart, to let the dark strands filter between them. It didn't take long to brush an ear, and on top of that he'd leaned in to study her hairpin.]

This place is kind of weird though. Who are those little people?

Thank you Mr Gourry. [She smiled, still fighting with the pin. Feeling his fingers in her own locks and grazing her ear made her breath hitch, the distraction slowly chipping away at her concentration.]

Um...they're just fairies, they live here. [It seemed obvious, but then again, the swordsman wasn't known to pick up on the obvious very well.]

[The pin was stuck good in his hair, and with all likelihood he'd forget it after a while anyway. Gourry's hand continued to roam, even as he leaned back a little. With his hand shifting to her shoulder, his thumb began to rub softly at the side and back of her neck.]

Ohh, those are fairies? I thought they were bigger! [Clearly it didn't properly register, given the blank look on his face. Which just as quickly disappeared.] I guess we should be nice if this is their house.

[There really didn't seem like much could be done unless she cut large chunks of hair off her friends head. She wasn't giving up yet though, trying to unravel the strands from the pin.]

Why would you think they're bigger? But yes, we probably...[She stopped as his thumb brushed her neck, making her head stand on end and a small squeak escape her lips.] Um, Mr Gourry, what are you doing?

[So much hair! But no matter how many strands she pulled away the thing was stuck good, as if enchanted by magic.]

They sound like they should be bigger! [His mind, mysterious ways, you get the picture. His thumb kept right on moving, even sliding up a little to brush the underside of her ear. He doesn't seem to know what she's talking about, however.]

Huh? I'm sitting here talking to you Amelia.

[The princess was stubborn, so not ready to give up yet, even if this was getting a little awkward.]

[Amelia opened her mouth to ask more, but promptly decided against it. She doubted she would be able grasp what was going through Gourry's head. That much was obvious in how she couldn't figure out why he was making her shiver with such intimate touches.]

I mean...what are you doing with your hands?

[Gourry's hands moved to her shoulders to rub them, with his thumbs still brushing her neck. He was smiling, the kind of smile he gave after a big meal.]

My hands? Sorry about that! [He looked to where his hands were and quickly pulled them away. A second later, they went right back and moved lower toward her chest.] What are you doing in my hair?

[A soft sigh escaped her lips at the touches, feeling her mind going cloudy. He was lucky this wasn't Lina he was dealing with, otherwise he would have received a swift punch to the jaw already.]

It's fine. And I told you Mr Gourry, I'm trying t-...[The sudden sensation of his hands near her chest made her squeak in surprise, hands flying up to cover her mouth, face reddening in embarrassment.]
