My high school reunion is this year and I have no desire to go to it.

The emails have been coming in all year with more frequency as it's getting closer (and now is) November.

Go if you want to. Don't if you don't.

However, I seriously recommend taking Xander to any ennui threatening function. He will keep things entertaining, while playing up the dark humor of the whole affair.

I am still pondering taking him down to SC with me next year just to see the terror on former classmates faces.

While I agree that bringing Xander to any of these type engagements, the large problem with that, at least for my 20th reunion (which I did NOT attend) would be that the price PER PERSON was $95.00!!! I know, right?!?!? That is ridiculously expensive to go and spend an evening with people I didn't know well 20 years ago, eating food that isn't worth that much money and having to pay for my booze at the bar anyway (which was likely).

So, if the reunion is less expensive than that, I would say take him and make up a WILD story and have fun pretending it all night! I would LOVE to do that! :-)
