Things I've learned this week
1) Unlike Thanksgiving or Easter, Saint Patrick's Day is not on the same day of the week every year. As nice as it would be for it to always be on a Saturday, it is unlikely that being on a Saturday last year it would be on one this year - especially it being a leap and all.
Just noticing a small error in weekend planning in the next couple of months. Turns out St. Patty's is on the 17th of March every year. :)
2) Dreams are sometimes very telling. Xander had dream it was his birthday and there was this huge party. He was up on a dais receiving gifts from all his friends. It looked like everyone was gifting him with Faberge eggs. Turns out that those were just containers for the real gift (the logistics for the following are clearly only possible in dreams), first gift was a bedazzled jewelry box from Cordy, the second egg held some sort of pet from his sister (in the dream it changes from a cat to a bunny at times), the third gift was from me. He opens the egg I give him and a face-hugger jumps out and attaches to his head. It takes several friends to get the damn thing off him. Some of them even turn to me and yell that it wasn't a nice thing to do. Apparently I plead innocent and act cute thus deflecting any anger from the friends. Xander is not pleased.
I find this hysterical!:) Plus now, I know what to get him for his birthday!
3) Alarm clocks/phones pick the worst times to wake you up: I had a dream last night that I was at this big social party/club - plenty of people I don't know and people I do know where at this party. I was at a table talking to Willow when I think I see someone else I recognized - Jason Statham (Now, I don't have a particular obsession with the actor, but I have enjoyed his performance in various movies especially the fighting scene when he was all oiled up in The Transporter! But I suspect this had to do with my sick addled mind seeing trailers for the "Bank Job") But then Connor comes over and I get distracted and the three of us talk a bit before I get called away. Turns out Xander is feeling sick and needs me to take him home. Which I, very nicely, do. It also turns out that most of my friends and I all live together in some sort of apartment like building. I bring Xander home and about 10 minutes later Willow shows up (cause you know she lives here too). I'm a little disappointed because I was going to head back out to the party but she tells me it broke up not long after I had left. But she's all smiles as she hands me a piece of paper, which is a note from Jason Statham asking me if I was interested in going out with him. I'm like hot damn! But before I could even finish reading the note I get rudely woken up! Damn it! A non-zombie dream and I get woken up.
Geez!
4) The one time I forget to call Jayne to tell him the game is canceled and I get a call from him as he's sitting outside Forrest's house wondering why it's so dark in there. I'm so sorry! I will bake you something next week to apologize.
