We've seen the Menagerie parts I & II and the Conscience of the King
Will didn't get all the Shakespeare references and was annoyed at the kissing parts.
He was also disappointed that there wasn't more of a view of Pike's Happy Ending so he felt kinda cheated.

You'll also have to show Will the original pilot "The Cage", from which "Menagerie" takes its clips. And just reassure him that the Shakespeare references will be forced down his throat if his school's halfway decent.
