The Clone Wars

I wasn’t intending to go see Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but as a ticket was bought for me, I gave in.

It was okay.  It was actually better than I was expecting (although I was expecting two hours of complete and utter fail, so...)  It was obviously geared towards a younger audience and certain things suffered for it: the opening crawl is replaced ( Read more... )

I think you're right, the target audience seems to be the kiddie to early teen group. My 13 year old saw it and loved it. He even wants to go see it again.

I think it would certainly appeal to kids and teens - I'm probably just too old and cynical :P

"Sky-Guy" and "Skip". *facepalm* And hey, "I'm not too young to dress kinda slutty" seems to be a motivation for a lot of young girls these days. Maybe that's what they really meant when they said that Ahsoka would be relatable for girls. Pardon the cynicism.

But hey, it not being two hours of complete and utter fail is better than I expected, too. That's something. :P

Heh! It seems to be the market for young girls these days, unfortunately... I suppose I should be happy that at least LFL are trying to relate to pre-teen girls (other than sticking to the idea at SW is a boy's club) but for me, Ahsoka didn't really cut it.

That's a very good point, and as a kids film, it probably works. I suppose I'm just used to SW being an all-ages thing, whereas this seems just for the young folk :D
