I not normally a fan of second-person stories, but I like this. Such a well-realised what if, and there needs to be more fic about Owen and Beru.

Thank you! I'm a bit wary of second person usually, but it seemed to fit the tone of this. And exploring Owen and Beru is always interesting.

I understand what you mean about the fic simply coming out in second person. Stories can be very quirky like that. :p

I don't think I've ever seen a fic have Luke not speak about Owen and Beru like this, but it's a valid viewpoint all the same. I could see it being too painful for him. I really like the section of Luke bring Mara home to meet the family; it all sounds very in character. :D And LOL at Owen referring to Mara as a "lily-wristed Imperial girl." :p

I think someone brought Luke not speaking about Owen and Beru up on the SJRS thread, and I thought it seemed in character for him to not speak about it because he felt the most grief over them.

Thank you for the comment! I rather think Owen would consider all Imperials to be a bit 'soft' :D

I love this fic so much. :D The observations and insights into the characters are wonderful, and the choice of setting is unusual, but really works. I love that idea of Luke not speaking of Beru and Owen because their loss was so painful. Mara's interactions with them were excellent - I like that they bonded, but not straight away, taking the time to size each other up first. Makes me wish that they really could have met.

Great work. :D

I also wish Mara could have met Owen and Beru, but I suppose it would completely change the entire first movie :D I also think they would be wary of each other at first, and in the end they would come to accept Mara because she is so straightforward, and wouldn't go out of her way to try and impress them.
