Actually that was my reaction when I heard about the Christchurch quake.

I'm kinda beyond that this time. Queensland, Carnarvon, Queensland again, various floods and fires throughout Australia, Christchurch and now Japan. And Indonesia, NZ, PNG and the Philippines might get lobbed with a tsunami.

...Bloody hell, China had one too.

There certainly seems to be a lot of natural disasters around here lately.

WA has had cyclones and flooding up north and there have been two nasty storms east of here in the last few weeks. And there was the bushire that burned out half a suburb. But nobody died in all that so it's nothing in comparison.

The Pacific Plate is having a good shift around. Just wait, the California coast will get hammered next. That coupled with an El Nino/El Nina year and a bit of climate change and things seem really dire. But overall, things just seem worse these days because there are more people around to be affected by things.
