5. I love Blazing Saddles so much. Breaking the fourth wall at the end was one of my favorite things about it. It was so delightfully silly.

I think I only like Young Frankenstein more, and that only by a hair.

It is tough to choose between those two. And Igor is so wonderful. Mel Brooks is pure brilliance.

Oh Igor. "You take da' blonde, an' I'll take da' one in da' toi-ban."

Young Frankenstein also has one of my favorite beta couples, the Monster and Elizabeth. "Seven always was my lucky number..."

5. This is the only one I've seen (except for the runners-up), and I agree with you completely. I love when Hed(le)y says that while his minions are risking their lives, he's risking something greater: an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. The ending of Monty Python and the Holy Grail might not have worked as well because they didn't have that awesome shot of Devil's Tower like Blazing Saddles did.

You do yourself a massive disservice to deprive yourself of 1-4, FYI. Anyway, I love how at the very end it kind of snaps back to normalcy with Bart and Jim riding off into the sunset... until they ditch the horses and hop into that car and drive away. Seriously such a weird, wonderful movie.

Maybe I'll get around to seeing them after I graduate. I'm so busy right nwo.

My parents recently said they hate the moment where Bart and Jim get in the car. That does strike me as a little too weird, but how can they complain about that when a portion of the climax took place in a movie theater? I love that they interrupt an overblown Old Hollywood musical number with top hats and everything. It's probably one of my favorite parodies ever.

Ugh, been there. Well, they'll wait.

Heh, well, if you've been cool with everything else that's happened, a car carrying them off on their happily-ever-after seems a small thing to ask, but okay. Just that long shot when they pull back and reveal the set and the buildings around it- amazing.

I think Blazing Saddles is the ultimate example of this! I really want to rewatch that movie now.

It's amazing. You're sitting there watching, and suddenly the camera pulls back and you're seeing buildings, and then there's a musical number and a food fight, and then Hed(le)y goes to see Blazing Saddles, and then Bart and Jim drive off in a fancy car THE END! Dazzling.
