Ugh. There is something seriously wrong with my air conditioning. The air keeps blowing and blowing, but it never gets any colder. I'm so hot I almost feel hungover. I called the apartment office yesterday morning to fix it, but no one's called back.

Screw this. I'm putting some clothes on and going to see PotC: On Stranger Tides.

Ugh, that sucks! Hopefully they'll call back when it's not the weekend, but still, that's really not great.

I'm about to do a ridiculous post of X-men related things I found on tumblr which makes it look like I loved the movie. Which I kind of did. In its own very flawed, very badly written way.

Hee, so you did. If nothing else, it's got a pretty enthusiastic fandom building around it, which is nice.

Last one on the second disc was "Investigative Journalism." I'm (reluctantly) sending it back tomorrow.

Good luck. They really do have to do something about that.

Yeah, I'm really not that into the idea of fic for it. I mean, you know I'm an expert in working around canon, but something about working around canon in this case just doesn't appeal. Like, it's too hard to do and you have to handwave too much.

Hah, I remember next to nothing about that episode. There's a couple in the middle of S1 that I really have only seen the once, that didn't quite stick with me.

Air conditioner breaking in the summer is the worst. I don't know how I went a whole summer in New York without even having it one year.

Whoa, I don't know how you did either. I'm going to try getting my landlady to get someone to fix it tomorrow, here's hoping for more luck.

I did! It's quite the fun pirate-flavored romp. Pretty much non-stop action, lots of swashbuckling and narrow escapes and revenges and all that fun stuff.
