Oh, wow. Dahlia, huh? That's quite intriguing.

I loved the argument between Cara and Richard. For once, I agree with him. Lol.

That happened so rarely, Cara and Richard fighting and Cara *not* being so painfully, obviously right, I thought this would be a nice little change-up. =-)

And yes, I know Dahlia in the mix is intriguing, but this is definitely a Cara/Kahlan story. No worries there! haha

Really. This is my favorite fic of all the fine fics we have. (Getting close to alliteration there. LOL)

Love the irony of Richard arguing so hard for Cara to stay (and he makes good points). Loved the strange intimacy of Kahlan being on the other side of the door Cara is leaning against. And Richard pointing out how Kahlan needs a someone not afraid of her around. (Awww)

And Dahlia!! You sneak. How are you going to use that, I wonder...

I'm wonder - since this appears to be building to a long fic and you've even done a timeline! - do you have your whole story completely mapped out and in how much detail? As one crazed writer to another, I'm curious. ;)

*sigh* Awaiting another....

Alliteration is amazingly awesome and always agreeable. =-P

What Cara's afraid of in Kahlan and what she isn't is part of what made me want to write this story when it entered my head. She's not afraid of the things she should be, but is scared of the things she shouldn't. It's only going to get more fun, promise. =-)

Dahlia is... No competition for Kahlan. Obvi. =-D But she will help make life a little more fun! And no, she's not about to be some central character, so she won't be stealing screen-time. or, well, page-time... whatever. =-/

I'm actually one of those people who lets their stories grow more organically, though I do set out thinking "Oh i thought about this scene, and then there's this one that would come later..." but what happens (bridges) in between them usually gets written out of necessity. Which, because of my "Scenes" take on all this, I get to skip some of those with this and focus more on the ones I want/am excited about. =-)

And another one should be up tomorrow, so you won't have to wait long!

So funny: “I was concerned if you had not succeeded you would have asked to borrow my assistance again.” Kahlan laughed, wiping her eyes, Richard tried to hide his smile. “The Breath of Life is not for recreational use, My Lord.” She said as though in warning. But the corners of her mouth curled at the last moment.

I like this Richard :)

So, Dahlia is not one my favorite characters but... this is really intriguing.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying my little bit about the Breath of Life-- I'd hoped people would find it amusing! And I'm glad you're liking this Richard. I like him too, he's just a good guy, you know? =-)

As for Dahlia? Yeah, not a huge fan either. But I have some interesting ideas for her, who she is if not Mord'Sith, and who she might be to Cara. That being said-- SHE IS NO COMPETITION FOR KAHLAN. *DUH*! =-D I hope you'll come to at least not-hate her in this. haha

Dahlia?... Wow, I didn`t see that coming... Nice twist ;) Now I wonder what it will mean in the greater picture of this story...

Your Cara is such a great and interesting character... :D And Kahlan eavesdropping (again! Well, well, Mother Confessor.. ;)) to the discussion between R&C is such a strong scene...

Can`t wait for the next one :D

Dahlia is going to be, in an odd way, a part of Cara and Kahlan figuring things out. Because, lets face it, she's got nuffin' on the BAMC. Period.

Kahlan is, in this story, a real snoop. =-P
Since a huge part of what I'm hoping to explore here is the way people allow themselves to be in the trusted privacy of one other individual, sometimes a third-party has to catch a glimpse of it; to understand what that person may be hiding even from them...

Next one should be up tomorrow, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long! =-)
