This was posted earlier at the Gen LotS site, about how a fan caller to STARZ reported:

That's hilarious. I sent a letter today to Starz saying that I heard this wonderful rumor and that I'd fo sho order their channel if they picked up LOTS.

I've just updated this post to reflect the tweets that have surfaced over the weekend, where caller(s) were straight up TOLD that STARZ is in negotiations with ABC/Disney!!

Please share this development with all your LotS friends! Make sure they know there's movement, and hope - and we need them to be involved!

It was mentioned on the forum that it might be a good idea to keep pressure on ABC/Disney too - remember SciFi wanted it a couple months ago, but couldn't reach an agreement with them.

Okay - my own experience:

I just got off the phone with STARZ.

I said I had a comment about programming (she actually thought I said complaint! LOL) She took basic info from me (name, rank, and cable provider).

When I said I was calling to request STARZ carry Seeker, she went "Oh! We're getting alot of calls about that!" and mentioned a large list.

She said it would "take time", but that they were "working on getting the license". I asked, "So are you saying that STARZ is in active negotiations with ABC/Disney?" and she said "YES"I asked if it would help if we contacted ABC/Disney to encourage them to talk to STARZ, and she hesitated and basically said she didn't think that was necessary ( ... )

I sent out a dozen letters of encouragement to STARZ in this morning's mail, and will spend my afternoon working on ABC and Disney. (I'm old school, I guess)

Old school is fantastic!

Snail mail still packs a big wallop with the Suits. They always assume thousands more agree with any given letter and just didn't bother to write. Lots of weight to those. :)

We're a weird bunch, those of us who dream of being Mord'Sith.

This afternoon I sent a dozen hand-made cards to ABC in Burbank, and another dozen to Disney in New York. Each had a unique and handwritten note; the cards and letters in total cost me *maybe* about $8... how could I not at least try? I had the time, I had the stamps. And I know plenty of people who would love to get another season, but don't have communities like this one to help point the way. I wrote for them, for me, and all of us. I just hope it helps...?

Heh. Being Mord Sith is definitely better in theory than actuality. It's sorta "Can we keep the leather, the bad assness and skip the torture? 'Kay?"

Thanks so much for doing all that. You're still aces, however you wanna define it. ;)
