LotS Femslash Community Chat - Rules and Instructions
Chats are moderated, only in the sense that if you break the rules, you'll get warned, and if you still break the rules, you'll be booted from the room. Let's try to keep that from happening, 'kay?
That in mind, here are the rules:
1. Chat is NSFW - swearing/adult conversations are permitted, but please keep in mind general rules of courtesy - i.e. no flaming people, don't start role-playing explicit Cara/Kahlan sexytimes during the chat. Try to keep sexual references suitably vague so as not to make people blush too hard;)
2. No bashing/flaming of characters, ships, authors, fics, etc. Criticism is allowed, but try to keep it vague (if regarding fic or other fanworks) and if possible light-hearted or humorous;) Remember that not everyone has the same opinions, even if we all think f/f loving is pretty awesome (at least, I'm assuming we all do, what with this being a femslash community, right?).
3. thedawn is your chat moderator. (Yes, I'm talking about myself in third person now.) If she tells you to stop doing something, then seriously guys, stop doing it:P She is also the one you want to contact if some aspect of the discussion is making you uncomfortable - if you feel someone's getting close to being flamey, or you're starting to feel really weird about those two chatters over there in the corner acting out scenes from a kinky fanfic. Messaging her is very simple - click on her name over on the right (she should be right on top, as the channel op) and a list will pop up - click on "PM", and there you go.
4. Have fun!
To log in to the chat room, click here. You'll be prompted for two things:
1. "Nick" - Your "Nick" is, you might have guessed, the username you'll be logging in with. You don't have to sign up with Mibbit to get a username, just type in whatever you like and as long as it's not currently in use, it'll be yours for as long as you're there.
The chat is open to everyone, whether you have LiveJournal or not, but if you do, it might be helpful to keep the same username as you've got here, so we know who everyone is:)
2. "Channel" - This is the name of the chat room. It's also password protected just to keep people from randomly typing in letters and crashing our femslash par-tay. Our channel and password (enter this exactly as below, or copy/paste):

Once you've entered your Nick and the Channel info, click "Connect". You're ready to go!:)
Official chats are 60 minutes long, with the option to hang out as long as you want afterward. Keep in mind that there won't be a guaranteed moderator once the chat is over. Not that we anticipate the need for one:)
