I liked the style of this. It reeled from scene to scene just like a fever dream. Gorgeous!

With each fevered dream you get a definite sense of his battle with the illness, and it very subtly increases the tension of whether he'll be able to recover from his sickness and return to warmth and light. And there are some lovely phrases in here, this one had a particular resonance for me:

the enemy turned to dust before him and the breeze carried away those who did not run
Really gorgeous line.
