Ah, what a beautifully written piece!
This is a perfect Christmas present to be surprised with. :) It is everything I asked for, and more.
I love how Legolas is not girly and dependent, but even though he is as rough a warrior as Aragorn, his love is apparent and also has that tragic dimension like Shakespearean characters.

Beautifully written, Rubyelf! Thank you so much and I hope you did not curse me too much for the request :)
Merry Christmas and an all around happy holiday season!

LOL... Nothing wrong with the request! Just my brain... hasn't been wanting to write ANYTHING lately! I am definitely in agreement with you... I don't like Legolas to be whiny or clingy or girly. I'm glad I could give you what you wanted, and Merry Christmas to you too!

That is a super tale, just how it should be. Legolas wasn't a 'fairy'
he was a very resourceful strong Elf. And without him, they wouldn't have made the journey anywhere. And how lovely to have Arwen 'appear' as a silvery voice - no not even a 'voice' a drift of thought. LOVELY.

Loved the horses too. And the description of the bruises, rubyelf is perfect (!!! experience!). A lovely tale. and cheered up my rotten afternoon a treat! Bless you.

Thank you, my dear... I'm glad it turned out well! You know what a time I've been having getting anything written lately! The horses sort of turned into characters in the story on their own, but I thought that worked, so...

I AM sorry you're having a rotten afternoon! I would do anything I could to cheer you up!

Just the normal Amoeba style day. Could be any day of the last fifteen years. But I have had such a LOT of lovely messages email...mmmm and all these magnificent stories to read. AND I must go and do the BF poll today (our normal Monday in France but Boxing Day in UK). So at least THAT has been MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer!

And I notice you have some interesting new userpics - ahah!!!!! MMMMM???????
The Happy Muse will be up and about if He/She/It hasn't done so already!

This is an amazing tale, Ruby. You did so well.
I love the fact that the two horses have become characters of their own which are taking their parts within the story.
And in the end you round it all up nicely with this beautiful picture of household bliss.
The little scene below in the garden made me chuckle and I couldn’t help but laughing at the last few lines.
THANK YOU.

You show Legolas' dedication and devotion very vividly. And the bit of confusion and hesitance from Aragorn feels right. Great story!

I seriously love your website.. Excellent colors & theme.
Did you build this site yourself? Please reply back as I'm wanting to create my own
site and would love to know where you got this from or just what the theme is called.

Appreciate it!

It's an LJ theme, although I think it's only available for paid accounts. It's just called "Butterflies" and the style is "Expressive", so if you search the themes under that style, you should find it.
