Searching for a pattern

Mar 07, 2008 21:05

I hope someone can help me.
I'm looking for a pattern for a lizard or a dragon. It seems almost impossible to find, but I have faith in my fellow knitters.

I was hoping for something a bit more reptile-like, but thank you very much for this pattern. So many people has commented to help me so in the end I think I'm gonna mix the different patterns to get just the dragon I have in my head.

You can use this link to download and print free graph paper that is slightly squat, so it mimics the shape of knitting stitches.

http://www.needlepointers.com/displaypage.aspx?ArticleID=33089&URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.tata-tatao.to%2fknit%2fmatrix%2fe-index.html

Once you have printed your graph paper, either draw and color a lizard or dragon on it, or find a simple image online that you like, and print it onto this paper.

Then you will have the stitches right where you want them! Start reading the graph as you knit, from the bottom right corner. Mark off the rows as you knit them.

Hope this works! I've been doing similar when designing picture knits and fair isles for years.
