Author's Notes: My element was to write a 333 word fixed-length ficlet, but I could not resist the temptation to make it a recipe!fic. So the recipe is also 333 words. It is a mixture of two different recipes I found online, and I confess, I usually make pie from it ( Read more... )

Awwww! Such a sweet scene. I can imagine Bungo feeling a little more intimidated than most, marrying into the Thain's family.

Yes, all those big brothers! In my headcanon, they are all very talkative and very Tookish, and quite protective of their younger sisters. And then there's the adventurous baby of the family, Isengar, who is a lot like Pippin!

They also think Bagginses are boring, and that Belladonna won't be happy with a boring Baggins. But their father approves, so they can't object much--still, they tease Bungo, who is not used to such behavior.

Gerontius, on the other hand, quite approves of Bungo's quiet determination, and thinks he will be good for his flighty, tempestuous daughter.

And he is, as it turns out, and Belladonna also turns out to be good for Bungo.

How lovely! Your food detail is wonderful. :)

And tarts or pie, either one sounds great. :D

Thanks, sweetie! It was hard to keep it in the word count!

Made the pie version today! The DH says it's my best one yet. I thought it was pretty good, too!

Oh, so sweet! I love this look at the affection growing between Bungo and Belladonna. So wonderful!

(Although I doubt I'll try the tomato tarts--food allergies being what they are. Heh!)

Yes, Bungo and Belladonna are one of my favorite pairings.

I understand. I used to be allergic to tomatoes when I was a child; I'm no longer allergic to them, but as an adult developed an allergy to peppers.
