Oh, this is wonderful beyond anything I had hoped! I love every detail of the preparation of Bilbo's rooms, and his settling in, and establishing a routine in his new home. I'm also delighted that both our stories included Bilbo and Arwen conversing on a bench outside. We must have both traveled there in our dreams. *beams*

Thank you so much! I'll be re-reading this many times. ♥

*grin* There is very little I enjoy more than learning a story of mine has made you happy, dear! And especially when it's been written with just you in mind!

For some reason, nearly all my Rivendell stories seem to have a conversation on a bench somewhere in them, if they are very long at all! LOL!

Well written. You show how the folks at last homely home had to prepare for a known but unknown geust and how some took thatextra step to move him from geust to resident. Funny isn't it that even when the lord and master says welcome, some feel they should get the final say. I especially like that the planning elves didn't just say this is what trotter liked duplicate it;no they took it upon themselves to look atwhat bilbo treasured enoungh to transport and build from there.

Well, they'd know some things would be the same--the need for plenty of meals and a place to cook, for example, but much would also be different, for example, Bilbo's love for books and his need to have the special things he brought from Bag End.

I always felt that Elrond's reputation for hospitality would be something his whole household would take pride in upholding.

(Also, I always thought of Lindor as being a bit full of himself, ever since he told Bilbo he couldn't tell mortals apart!)

Oh how lovely - I could just see the hobbit apartment in my mind's eye and it has given me a good deal of pleasure!

I'm glad the descriptions were vivid enough for you to see them! I've been imagining them for several years now, and it was fun to get the chance to completely describe them.

Thanks!

Thank you! I thought it would definitely be something Elrond would want to do for his new resident guest!
