Oh how perfect! I always adored Fili and Kili in the books, and this reads so perfectly as the two of them argueing. But you weave in the affection and insight Thorin has in the both of them... wonderfully done! I love it!

Oh, it was so lovely, watching Thorin taking on a mentoring role for his nephew and setting him on the path to his true vocation as a warrior. What a great moment.

Also, I so love that they are working at a forge. Even if they are royalty, I feel that they would not disconnect from what is at the core of Dwarven identity. :)
