Nice job of fleshing out a moment only mentioned in the books. Merry is so believable. I think he would have thought everything through just the way he does in your story. I also thought Bilbo's reaction to Merry's direct questioning very much in-character. Bilbo would be very defensive about his little secret.

Of course, your little Pippin a totally adorable.:)

I really love your take on how Merry could very well have started the conspiracy this way! I love everything to do with the conspiracy and you had me riveted throughout! This story really captured me! Thank you!
