Well, you certainly did take the young-old part seriously! I think that the age gap between Cirdan and Elanor is probably as big a gap as possible.

I enjoyed the way Cirdan answered her questions as she asked them as though he were speaking to an adult. He knew she would not understand much of what he said, but that she'd keep it in mind and remember it when she was older.

A wonderful conversation!

Of COURSE I'd take the young-old part seriously! I do tend at times to take things to extremes, after all.

Too many adults talk down to children; at his age, I'd think Cirdan would have learned better. Heh!

Oh, I loved the portrayal of Elanor here. She's perfectly drawn, a careful balance of childish glee and that wisdom only children seem to have. Excellent, excellent.

I enjoyed the gentleness of the elves, and how they treat all hobbits with great respect. Cirdan's insight and Elanor's strength and plain hobbit sense are very evident here.

Well done!

I would think all would hold but the greatest respect for all four of the Travellers, but especially for Sam and Frodo. That they'd come to care for Sam's children as well only seems right.

Thank you so for the comments.
