I really like that the Elves and Hobbits have completely different traditions to celebrate the same night. And the prank that Estel comes up with that nearly gets himself killed!

The Legend of Sleepy Hobbiton! Brilliant. I love it when the Fellowship tells stories and shares their traditions. Thank you for a lovely tale.

I thoroughly enjoyed how disjointed the telling of tales was prior to moving into the flashback. With a group this large, they probably would have been strung out while walking, and any time a subject came up that everyone wanted to discuss, it was probably done with many interruptions.

And I LOVE the idea of a Sleep Hobbiton legend. :) Particularly the tutor, who may or may not have lost his head.

I love how this came out! You put a lot of work into this one, and it really shows!

I loved this bit a lot: Merry dismissed the comment with a wave of his hand. “Regardless of what it’s called in more proper terms,” he said and then took up a place in front of them and walked backwards, spreading his arms wide as if to take in the whole of the night.

It really seemed as if I could see Merry doing just that!

And I also loved all the interruptions and corrections when Sam tried to tell *his* tale!

The twins dressed as maidens! And Aragorn as a dwarf! And I too would have liked to read the legend of Sleepy Hobbiton;)

A fun story, very lighthearted and amusing!
