I've only been there twice, for about five days each visit. I find it a marvelous city, full of interesting things, beautiful scenery, delightfully colourful people--both fascinating and scary! A terrific city indeed, with high shining towers and green majestic mountains... casting sharp dangerous shadows that I'm afraid, to a tourist, merely make it all the more exiting!
The night I took this photo, I was in the suite of one of the con guests. I'm afraid I was somewhat rude, because instead of joining the discussion, I was standing with my nose pressed up against the window, entranced by this sight.
I sure think it is. I've been there -- let's see -- half a dozen times, I guess, and I love it more each time. Admittedly, visiting it with friends makes it even shinier!
I used to go to school, live, and work in Burnaby, B.C., a suburb east of Vancouver. I sang with the Vancouver Bach Choir (which sang with the Vancouver Symphony). I graduated from Simon Fraser University and hung out a lot at Stanley Park. So this is home for me. My favorite spot was Burnaby Mountain Park looking north toward Indian Arm. I was able to take my hubby there once. We are hoping to return there next year when the World Harp Congress is in Vancouver. It will be so much fun!

THIS is one of them. SO in love with the Pacific Ocean. Is Vancouver as terrific as I've always heard?
