Saw this lovely sight almost the entire trip from Seattle to Vancouver... it dominates the horizon as we skirt around her. That snowcap was a cooling sight on a hot afternoon:

That are beautiful pictures indeed.
Where I live, we have some mountains, and they are nice too, but not as high and snowcapped as this one. So when I was in Bavaria and looking at the Alps, I also was very impressed.

No, to be perfectly honest! But what do I know about mountains, except that they're big and unfathomable? :D

The mountain in your second picture is unquestionably Mount Baker, the same mountain that's in my MOL avatar. But I'm not sure that the first picture is actually the same mountain.

Those darned mountains. They're tricksy!
