Ohhh. Can we have a sequel?! Pretty please.:)

I mean, a WWII story and sneaking around. What's more to want? And I just love the fact that you're sending Sherlock to Bletchley. In my head canon, he will now be the one responsible for the war ending two years earlier.;)

Thank you for sharing this. I loved it.

It's a definite possibility! I'm a massive fan of reading and writing War AUs so this was pretty much inevitable, haha. Glad you like that Sherlock is going to Bletchley - it was either that or have him join the SOE and I've already got a fic (albeit in a different fandom) centred around that. Love that you have a headcanon for the War, too!

You're very welcome, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. :)

I'm SO there with you on that.:) And now I think I'll absolutely have to go take a look at your other fics, if that's okay.;)

This made me squee. I am SUCH a fan of the WWII Codebreakers/Computer inventors that it isn't funny. Will Sherlock and Alan Turing kill each other or will he dump John?

I don't suppose you've read "Between Silk and Cyanide" or "Cryptonomicon"? Excellent books on the history of cryptography in novel form.

This is also awesome:
‘I don’t like you very much sometimes,’ John murmured, frowning down at the hat and scarf of Sherlock’s spread across his knees.

‘You’re the only person I can stand,’ Sherlock muttered after an eternity of silence between them.

That sums them up in a nutshell.

Haha, I hadn't considered Sherlock/Turing, but now you mention it...

I haven't read either of those books! I'll have to see if they've got them in the library though, they sound great.

So glad you liked this, and that particular exchange. Thank you very much for reading and commenting, it means a lot!

I love the tension. the dialogue, the uneasy collection of humanity in the tunnels. the dust that falls the wanting and teh pain of imminent separation.

more please?
