Long Day

No comic today. Yesterday was a bit of craziness.

The day started out with Emily's liver doctor appointment. I got up earlier than I usually do and took Emily to her appointment. The nurse and doctor were glad she was doing so well. They gave me some labs for Emily, but since she just got her blood drawn for the Hematologist, we are going to wait

Holy crap. They couldn't just patch the old tire? That should of cost about fifteen bucks. Yeah, I learned about loosening up the bolts before jacking up the car the hard way too.

I wish it could have been a patch job. This tires was just gone ...

No need to apologise, sounds like an awful day! Why do you need to loosen the bolts before lifting? Please excuse my ignorance ;)

Usually you want to loosen the lug nuts while the car is still on the ground. Because if you have to use force to loosen them, the car will fall off the jack if the wheel is up. After use in northern climate with snow, rain and salt, there a matter of rust. I usually can get the lug nuts off, but between the three people watching me and the rust I just gave up rather than exert myself and possible hurt my back. With the way the day was going, I did not to risk it.
