[Walter woke up to an unfamiliar ceiling.

...At least, he thought it was a ceiling. Instinctively wary of sudden changes to his surroundings, Walter sat up and began scooting his way off of the unfamiliar, warm mattress. His wings shudder as they scrape against the strange textures, and he uneasily looks around the rest of his room.

His normal bed has been replaced by a four-post bed of some kind, and his room ... showed no signs of anything having been moved. (Not that he had a lot to begin with.) He starts getting dressed, already in loose pants and his Ferines shirt when he becomes aware of a rustling sound.

And he dives out of his room just as his bed jumps after him.]

What the hell?!

[...Fortunately, the mimic bed can't get through the narrow door frame, so he's given a chance to recover.]

[...Damn it, he has to help the Orerines too, doesn't he? Walter is able to grouse about that for a good moment before he joins Fenimore.]

Stand back. [He has to make sure Fenimore is clear of the doorway if the monster was waiting for someone to enter. Once that is done, he'll push the door wide open.]

[As expected, Grune hasn't at all noticed that her bed is now a monster. She's just sleeping happily away, dreaming the dreams of the innocent.]

[She is quite willing to stay back. The floor is yours, Wally.

She's not sure if the quiet is a good or bad sign.]

[Walter frowns as he looks at Grune, giving Fenimore a glance before advancing further into the room. Was this really worth it? She was a housemate, sure, but she was an Orerines. ...A very stupid Orerines, to boot.

He'll at least go up to the bed. And possibly kick it, if it doesn't react beforehand.]

[The Mimic Bed does not like that. It does not like that at all. With a snarl, it lunges forward to snap at Walter, dumping Grune on the floor in the process.

She blinks and sits up.] Oh, my, good morning, everyone!

[action] Definitely okay since I only got to my tags today after a couple of weeks. XD;; xelhes September 21 2011, 05:53:48 UTC
[...Door, you make a very good companion in this situation. Let me hide behind you.

But she does stick her head out from behind it to bark at Grune:] Grune, get out of there!

[She has learned that Grune can fight, but it's kind of slipping her mind in the stress.]

[Walter was expecting some sort of reaction from the Mimic Bed, so when it snaps at him, he's able to jump backwards and away from it. He's not going to bother saying hello to Grune; he can leave that to Fenimore. He'll just throw attacks at the monster.]

DelQues!

[The Mimic Bed does not like that, and its response is to throw out a yellow field of effect to lower Walter's attack. Hope you weren't anywhere near that, Wally!

Grune doesn't seem to notice the epic battle raging in her Earth Monument-esque room. Instead, she slowly gets to her feet.] Hello, Fenimore. Are we playing hide and seek?
