...At least, he thought it was a ceiling. Instinctively wary of sudden changes to his surroundings, Walter sat up and began scooting his way off of the unfamiliar, warm mattress. His wings shudder as they scrape against the strange textures, and he uneasily looks around the rest of his room.
His normal bed has been replaced by a four-post bed of some kind, and his room ... showed no signs of anything having been moved. (Not that he had a lot to begin with.) He starts getting dressed, already in loose pants and his Ferines shirt when he becomes aware of a rustling sound.
And he dives out of his room just as his bed jumps after him.]
What the hell?!
[...Fortunately, the mimic bed can't get through the narrow door frame, so he's given a chance to recover.]

Stand back. [He has to make sure Fenimore is clear of the doorway if the monster was waiting for someone to enter. Once that is done, he'll push the door wide open.]
