Helen Magnus getting her GoGa on??!! Why did no one give me a heads-up this was coming? Anyway, it was a great surprise at the end of the episode. Let's hope they keep it going, and not a one episode flash in the pan.

HaHa!! Oh yeah, Magnus kisses a chick on Sanctuary! But I have my doubts as to whether or not this was more than a flash in the pan.

Completely unrelated but does it make me an old fuddy-duddy that I don't get the appeal of tumblr? Or why everyone on LJ seems to be moving over there? I mean, I'm just getting around to using Facebook on a regular basis! I can't handle another social networking site!

Eh .. looking through the interwebs ... it does sound look a flash in the pan, and this season will have more Magnus/Tesla .. so boo.

As for Tumblr ..I don't get it. I don't even know how to work twitter. I've finally gotten the hang of facebook, but it' reducing my LJ time. I can only handle one at a time! So I'm right there with you, beginning to feel like a luddite.

Yeah, it's like I want to be excited about the whole 'Magnus kissing a woman' thing but, you know, I've been burned so many times before that I'm at the stage where I'm, like, have this character show up for more than one episode and maybe I'll get excited. Or if they'd, you know, actually showed a scene or two of Magnus 'sticking around' for her new lady love.

And if having more Tesla around means less friggin' Will, I'm all for it!

As for tumblr, I don't know, it just seems like another place where people are talking *at* each other instead of with each other, you know.

Hope you don't mind me butting in, but...tumblr is very addictive because it's really easy to use, and it's very image-driven (videos, gifs, etc.). But you're right, it's not conducive toward actually having verbal interactions and exchanges with others.

Is it sweeps? I don't watch Sanctuary but I'm totally shallow enough to hunt down this episode just for the lady-kisses. Thanks for the heads-up.

Too early for sweeps. I guess they're trying to make the point that Magnus, being hundreds of years old, is past the gay/straight divide, and more omni-sexual. Or atleast, that's what they've mentioned in a few interviews. Even though this looks like a one-off, I hope they'll come back to the idea at a later point in the show and explore it more.

You need to watch this episode just for Amanda Tapping getting her badass on. Skip the boring b-plot.

I both watched and enjoyed *g*.

I know Amanda Tapping mentioned in interviews that she thought her character and Polly Walker's had some sexual chemistry / subtext going on last season. So maybe she pushed for more of that this time around. Like you, I really hope we get to see more of it, with either the skinny scientist or someone else.

The B-plot was time wasted that could have been spent watching Magnus be wonderful.
