I so know what you mean about the 'feel' of a place. I remember one extended search for the next rental slightly despairing that I hadn't found one that I felt I could live in. Then the great and excited relief when I walked into a place I felt I could call home, and did for the next 12-18mths. Then a similar process when looking for a place to buy. This place called to me though it is on a main road-which was on my list of things i definitely DIDNT want. However, when I eventually decided to have a look on the way to a different place. Well, it spoke to me. I was back for a second viewing the next day.

It does however seem for me that my home is a solitary experience. Except for the budgie that is, and the visitors, need some of them too.
