Kate and Sam! oh, interesting! I never thought of that, but I could see that both as an AU Sam being on 815 or Kate being in the Caprica Resistance. Like a Wilderness Guide or, I suppose more canonically, a fugitive hiding out in the mountains who falls in with the resistance after the attacks.
Yeah, even by crossover standards they're nowhere near obvious, but they sprang to mind for a meme or something a few years ago and I've had the idea stuck in the back of my mind ever since. And hey, if you can't get crazy with the crossover pairings in a rare pairing swap I don't know when you can!
The chances of that prompt getting filled are microscopic, of course, what with the fandoms quieting down and Kate and Sam not exactly being the most loved by the fans anyway, but I love both of them and I'd be so interested to see what'd happen if they ran in the same circles. I think they'd fit in each other's canons really well; like you said, Kate's perfect for joining the resistance!
