I absolutely adore this--Wesley is wonderful, the re-imagining of the episode is great, and I am still snickering about Riley discovering them in the crypt.
Thank you thank you thank you!

And I definitely did enjoy it! Your request was a lovely description of *exactly what I love to write*! *G* I had some trouble and frustration getting it done on time, but most of that's because I just couldn't get the sequence of events (from the original episode) right. Despite having watched the ep. and having read a transcript.. ::shakes head at self::
Anyway, thank you, sweetie! *G* Is it bad that I'm already looking forward to next year's cya ficathon?

This isn't really concrit, just musing, but I do think you were right that it's hard to take the Buffy parts out / put the Wes parts in without making it more serious - I found myself growing quite concerned with Giles' personal changes (his growly grrrs, etc) right along with Wes - it injected a note of worry in there that wasn't in the ep (because there was no one to *worry* about Giles in the ep, which reflects pretty poorly on the ep, i think). Anyway, interesting how caring made the transformation go from silly to more serious.
beta note: 2nd line - quiet (not quite)

Loved Ethan's jealousy/testing of Wes - it's subtle but really perfectly there too.
::squeezes you to itty-bitty bits:: THANK YOU!! I find Ethan so very tough to write (probably because I haven't written him enough ) and I'm so thrilled to know it came over well!

One of my main worries when writing it was that it was becoming overwrought (and it may still be in a few places. ::laughs::), because it was such a silly episode and the fic is more serious. I'm glad to hear it struck the right note!
Thank you, sweetie!
