Challenge #32 - Rose
Title: Knowledge and Faith

Warning: Not that I know of.
Everyone viewed Rose as a woman who’s faith had sustained her through unimaginable sorrow. They called her brave. They said she was in denial. But the thing that they all seemed to agree on was that she was faithful.
What they did not know was that the reason she knew that Bernard was alive had nothing to do with God or with faith.
It was as simple as this: if Bernard were dead, she would be too. When she had married him, she had known that from then on, she had known that he would be the biggest part of her life. If Bernard were truly gone, the biggest part of her would be gone as well.
It wasn’t faith, it was knowledge. Rose knew Bernard was alive. It began and ended there.
