i feel religion just covers up what you are supposed to find out individually as a person, and as an individual, you are to find peace without devoting yourself to some supreme being, but to your inner self, or soul, to find meaning to life and enlightenment

I think you can use religion as a tool to finding who you are. I also think that you should know a little about pretty much every religion, then if you are practicing in a certain religion you can see more angles about it.. Following one religion just because isn't a very good reason I think. There is a time I think everyone gets to where they have to make the decision to believe or not.
