The Doctor shouldered the shopping bags as he and Rose made their way back to the TARDIS.

"Right. Peas, bananas, and cake. Did we forget anything?"

They did not have potatoes to roast, or carrots. They did not have prawns or even cranberry sauce but Rose simply laughed and held the TARDIS door open for the Doctor and his Christmas burden. "I'm sure what we've got will be fine." She assured him and patted the small of his back when he bustled past.

It would be fine. Rose believed whole-heartedly in that fact, because there was nothing wrong with throwing tradition out the window. They would all at least be happily stuffed on turkey and peas and bananas and cake.

She allowed herself to forget that neither she nor the Doctor knew if the bird Martha was pinching from her mum was even thawed or not. Add an extra bunch of hours for cooking, she grimly realized. Her grumbling stomach realized as well.

Martha struggled through the TARDIS doors with not one but two Turkey's. The one she had stolen from her mother was in a rucksack on her back. The second one in a carrier bag, frozen but starting to thaw. She made her way to the kitchen and unceremoniously dumped the frozen Turkey on the table.

"Right," she said, sliding the heavy bag from her back. "One Turkey; cooked and ready to be eaten. Well, once it's been in oven for about 10 minutes to warm through again."

She looked to Rose and The Doctor with a smile, "Get the rest of the stuff?"
