One more, this time, for
akashasheiress. I hung on, trying to think so something not so completely shallow and silly, but, erm, well...
And to
pedanther and
jjpor: okay, I admit it, your prompts are tough work and I will get back to you on that as soon as I can. ;-) I only have unsatisfactory roughs, but I am on the train a fair bit this week, which should do the trick.

And don’t either of go getting arrested.
"you" before "go"
Peri gave a short yell as her fall was ended by someone handily catching her, and she opened them to find that she was in Angel’s arms.
Opened what? You haven't actually mentioned her eyes, let alone whether they were open or closed.
“Quick reflexes, too,” he explained, putting her down.
You don't need that "too" - she hasn't commented on the handiness of him catching her or anything like that.
cruse around in the car until they picked up some sign of Angel or the elusive demon.

All fixed now though. (I should add that when I originally wrote that sentence, Peri did close her eyes; I just deleted that without paying attention to the consequences.)

You know you could just email me stuff for a quick check before you post - given how much I'm online you'd get it back fast unless you sent it late at night.

You know if I'm after a beta, I will always ask you first. It's just generally I want to try and beat my muddle-headedness myself because it really annoys me (sometimes when I get tired I get all dyslexic and the connections in my brain just don't work - an ME hangover) - but I very much appreciate you finding the bits I didn't get. :-D
But, yes, thank you. I can see me taking you up on that for a couple of things in the not too distant future. You may regret it. Heh.

(Not that I would ever complain if I accidentally got 800 words of Tom & Ruth instead of 100.)
