UNIT Stardust - Character Commentary

Nov 28, 2009 18:28

The other week, when I was feeling a bit too down to write anything at all sensible, I distracted myself with this. And since people liked the other character commentaries, I thought I may as well post it. Although I am embarrassed and it shouldn't happen again. It's just Six, you see, you know what's like...

Character commentary on Stardust )

fannish scribbles, tilly holmes, nat webber, fic commentary, doctor who, 1980s unit, sixth doctor

Evelyn: I knew it! And I should add that, no matter what anyone says, I have never attacked anyone with a knitting needle yet.

I think the 'yet' is the most important word in that sentence! :D

(Did you know I have a direct ancestor called John Benton, who was a soldier? But not a Sergeant.)

Ooh cool!!

Heh. True!

And, I know. And there weren't lots of John Bentons around - he's the only one on the Peninsula medal roll, so not that many people can claim that.

Excellent - in the Peninsula, you say?

This was very amusing, especially the Master's continual Hehehehehehehehs, and the fact that nobody could care less about how he'd made his escape at the end! And very sensible of Tilly, ducking out like that. Six stayed of course, because he just loves talking about himself... ;D

Heh, yes. I don't actually know much about him, but it's the only fact that will impress on the DW front. (I am the product mainly of very poor ag labs, domestic servants, dressmakers, farmers, brickyard labourers, but also miners, a couple smiths, a couple soldiers - the other one was at Waterloo, but in the Artillery and apparently they were a lot of drunken rabble who answered to nobody! - and a drunken excise officer. Heh.)

Of course Six loves talking about himself. It's the only reason I couldn't resist writing a commentary. ;-)
