I really love this! The children are so funny - I like the Doctor getting annoyed with them and I really like the way they stop the kids from doing something they shouldn't in the middle of a conversation.

Beta-reading this fic was hard because I kept laughing so much. If I quoted everything that made me laugh, though, I'd quote about half the fic!

Hah, thanks (shades of First Year Camp, I think!).

And, trust me, I pretty much never do that sort of thing. It never crosses my little brain. ;-D I vaguely thought after it had finished, I could have made one of them be someone else in the Whoniverse, but, don't worry. If there's a blue moon and a month of Sundays, maybe. :lol:

this is FANTASTIC. doctor who does the magic school bus, if the kids weren't so eager to learn and if miss frizzle weren't so serenely in control of the situation. i love all the implied mischief that going on with the kids, and the doctor-ian-barbara reunion is wonderful - i love that they only believe it's the real doctor when he gets ian's name wrong and that he knows they could have handled the situation without him :) also the bit about jude the obscure <3

Oh, thank you. It was one of those prompts that have to be written - and how else could it go?

And I'm not sure why Thomas Hardy got in on the act. There ought to be intertextual significance and there... just isn't. ;-)

I'm glad that the limited bit of interaction that could go on between the Doctor and Ian and Barbara was okay, because the children did take over a bit.
