I love this! Very Ace! And Seven too. :)

For some reason I especially loved this bit:

The Doctor turned to Ace. She gave him an unconvincing innocent look in response. “Oh, well,” he said. “But you do realise that causing explosions in the middle of a wood is hardly following appropriate health and safety procedures?”

Ace nodded. “And I’m very sorry, and I won’t do it again. Unless any other monsters are trying to nobble people and there’s no alternative.”

“A reasonable compromise,” the Doctor said, and smiled at Henry as Ace ran on ahead of them.

I’d have fallen flat on my face trying to run after you in long skirts and a silly hat, wouldn’t I?

Well, quite.

Ha, that's great! I think Ace would even almost approve. :-)

Thank you! And Ace is wonderful, or I think so, anyway. (When I was 11 I wanted to be her. It didn't happen, but I still think she was an excellent role model.)

(And, awww, look at your cute Vicki-One icon! Where are you up to with them now?)

Just started The Space Museum, which is pretty much the best/most Doctor Who thing ever.

Aha, yes, it is quite fun, isn't it? It didn't have a good reputation & I only got to watch it recently (last year??) but it had some lovely Vicki stuff and the Doctor vs the mind probe was delightful. (And I hadn't realised that trope went back quite so far, either.)

As a heads up, you're nearing the end of S2 and after that an awful lot of S3 and 4 is missing, either partially or wholly, so you might need to think about what you want to do re. audio/reconstructions or just skipping, because it's a big gap, which stretches over One's final stories and into Two's first stories. (Once you're into S5, it's less wholesale again, especially since two whole stories from that season have been found in recent years & S6 has a better percentage still.)
